Examples from my Soulbook

Are you curious? I hope so because I would like  to encourage you to create a soul book with your name on it.

The two below are some of my earlier pages.

Random 021

This first one reflects my passion for writing. I combined images of beautiful writing instruments, a quote from Sara Teasdale, and a handwritten first line from one of my poems As If which begins, “Autumn Breaks My Heart Every Year…..”

When I look at this page I can almost feel the luxury of a fine pen between my fingers, slipping over the page, revealing and discovering something brand new, or something familiar and dear.

Remind yourself with a soul book page that honors your passions and gifts.

Are you a painter, gardener, cook, artist, writer, singer?

What are the activities that ALWAYS fill your well?

This second page is more playful. I call it Yoga Bliss ~ to remember that aging gracefully is always an option. When I created this page, my hopes for a Yoga Practice were just that ~ hopes. Since creating this page, I have a strong Yoga practice that supports and sustains me on the mat and off! In fact, now my daughter, Maggie Downey is a registered yoga teacher. What would you love to try that you haven’t yet?

What changes would you like to make with regards to your health and vitality?

If you wish you had a Spiritual Practice, but don’t, what would it look like if you did?

A year from now, what would you like to be able to say you have learned how to do, that you don’t know how to do today?

This will give you an idea of how soul booking can be a kaleidoscope of your colorful soul. Your soul book can be a repository of all that your heart holds dear ~ past, present and future. It is a place to play, explore, wander. It may hold tears, laughter, sorrow, joy. Most of all, there are no rules, no way to do it wrong...and it is always available to grow, evolve and shift as you do….while honoring the whole story that is YOU.
